A Welcome Message from The President
I am very excited to welcome you to African Network Group of ASABE (ANGASABE)’s webpage. As an organization within the professional association of agricultural and biosystems engineers in North America that brings everyone who identifies with the causes of Agrifood systems in Africa together, I am happy that you have shown interest in what we stand for. I am also very honored to address this community of talented and dedicated professionals who are working towards the advancement of agricultural and biological engineering in Africa. As the current President of ANGASABE, I am committed to continue supporting and fostering the growth of our membership, leading impactful initiatives, refocus our goals, foster capacity building, including working with our brothers and sisters, African scholars in the diaspora with similar interests.
Africa is a continent of great diversity and promise, with unique challenges and opportunities in the fields of agricultural and biological engineering. From addressing issues of food security and sustainable agriculture, to exploring innovative solutions in areas such as renewable energy, water management, and soil conservation, the work of African scholars is vital to shaping the future of our field and in proffering lasting solutions to challenges within the agrifood systems on the continent.
As ANGASABE members, we have the opportunity to collaborate and share our expertise with each other, building networks and partnerships that will help us tackle the most pressing issues facing our world. I am excited to see the ways in which our African members will contribute to the advancement of our profession, and I am committed to supporting their growth and success during my tenure and beyond.
Together, we can work towards a future where agricultural and biological engineering play a critical role in shaping sustainable and equitable development across the African continent. Thank you for your dedication and contributions to our organization, and I look forward to working with you all.
