About Derrick Allotey
I am Derrick Kpakpo Allotey, a PhD candidate at the Bioresource Engineering Department, McGill University, with 3+ years of experience in techno-economic and life cycle assessment of agrifood processing systems, geared towards their overall sustainability optimization. I apply process engineering principles to advance industrial eco-efficiency in agri-food focusing on analysis in the economic-environment-product quality nexus for food processing technologies. I am bent on providing sustainable-driven solutions that promote the overall eco-efficiency of the agri-food processing sector. As a member of ANGASABE, my goal is to contribute towards finding post-harvest and agri-food processing solutions that address the growing needs of the food value chain for a healthy and sustainable African agri-food system.
