About Derrick Allotey
Mary Akingbasote is a Ph.D. student and Graduate Research Assistant in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Kentucky and an FFAR Fellow. Her research focuses on sustainable bioenergy, anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, and acetate production, with an emphasis on developing practical renewable-energy solutions for agricultural systems. She previously earned a master’s degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering and International Agriculture and Development from Penn State.
